In the meantime I've got used to lots of questions as the BBI building spokesman. On some days I feel like I'm only here to answer questions. But that's nothing compared to the millions of questions my 8-year-old nephew Daniel asks. He comes to visit me at the airport every year in the summer holidays. And he wants to know everything, and I mean everything, about the airport. But when he asks me what custom's dog Pedro likes to play with most, I'm at the end of my tether.
And so I send him to my colleagues at Schönefeld airport who have initiated great holiday activities called 'A day at the airport'. Children like Daniel can then spend a whole day at the airport and pester our airport guide with questions until the cows come home. On their exciting exploration, the kids find out how Schönefeld airport actually functions, they visit the airport fire brigade, the Lufthansa maintenance shop and the terminal. And, of course, they get to know Pedro with his sensitive sniffing snout. Conclusion: Daniel was totally enthusiastic and I was relieved for a day.
