Hello people, you’ll hardly believe this, but it’s true. Here I am on Cuba, snorkelling in the shallow waters of the Caribbean, chatting the afternoons away with my beloved in a hammock on the beach and sipping one cocktail after another – and it’s all really fantastic, but my thoughts have already been back in Berlin for a while, back on my BBI construction site, where the highlight of the year is due to take place next week: the grand opening of our BBI Infotower! I’m already really excited about it. After all, Messrs Wowereit and Platzeck have already announced that they will be coming along, and our management will naturally also be there, to say nothing of myself. I’ve already been up on the observation platform and I can tell you that the view from up there truly is magnificent! Now you will be able to take a look for yourselves – from 32 metres up – at everything I’ve been writing about each week. The tower stands right in the middle of where all the building work is going on and is just a stone’s throw away from the future airport terminal. That’s where we are currently busy building the underground BBI station. If you come and visit us in the next few weeks – which I definitely recommend you do – you will be able to take a look at the gigantic pit that will one day be the station. One thing’s certain, I simply can’t wait for the big day. Only have to go to bed another six times and then the day of the grand opening will be here.
