Günter has one. Klaus has one. And Mahsun and Jürgen also have one. What is it they have? Quite simply a job on the BBI construction site. And that’s why I got up at the crack of dawn this morning to stand by the barrier at the site entrance and bid each of my co-workers on the early shift a personal “Morning! Morning! Morning!” I actually wanted to count how often I said “Morning!”, but at some point I got mixed up. Hardly any wonder really because we now have more than 2700 people working on the site. And that’s official because it’s in the 2009 Airport Job Survey that has just been published.

It came out right on time for the 1000 days’ anniversary of work on site that we’re celebrating this week because now we can also announce another excellent piece of news: since the last survey in 2006, two new jobs have been created on site every day! Now we have a total of some 18,000 people working for Berlin Airports. In the middle of the current economic crisis, it’s nice to hear some good news for a change!
