Oh, how wonderful I imagined student life would be. The early bird catches the worm? No, more like studying according to the maxim: who cares about the early bird! Deciding for myself when it’s time to crawl out of my ant nest in the mornings, plus months of holidays and, of course, an exciting nightlife.

But I soon found out the reality is quite different. Studying at university is now much faster paced, disciplined, and more practice oriented than I thought. And we at Berlin Airports are making our contribution to this in the form of the BBI Campus.

Within the scope of our university project, experts provide practical insights into the air transportation industry and the BBI’s key development project. More than 1,600 students from all universities in the capital region have taken part in the university project since its inception in November 2008.

During the 2011 summer semester, BBI Campus will comprise four lectures. The first lecture, beginning on 19th April at 6 pm, will be held by Harald Siegle, division manager for Real Estate Management at Berlin Airports, and will centre on his field of work. Further lectures by other experts will be taking place on 17th May, 14th June, and 12th July.

Registering for the lectures is an informal process: simply write to bbi-campus@berlin-airport.de. Participation is free of charge. The venue is airportworld bbi, the Berlin Airports visitor centre.
