I was in town with my girlfriend, Antonia, yesterday. First we went to Alexanderplatz, then on to Berlin’s famous high street, Kurfürstendamm. She wanted to have a look round the shops and I took advantage of the opportunity to get myself some new overalls.
Why, you may be wondering? Simple – I want to go into the countdown for the new airport in spanking-new working clothes. And there’s only one year to go now till the new airport, Berlin Brandenburg Willy Brandt (BER), opens, you know.
Not long after, we saw a bus driving along the “Kudamm” bearing the slogan “You’ll be blown away by how fast you can be there and back” – another slogan from the new BER campaign. Well, if you ask me, the BER already has me blown away. And after seeing the slogans, all I really wanted to do was get straight back to my construction site because there’s still quite a bit to be done in time for the grand opening.
