Right, so now I’d like to hear someone tell me that no one needs BER. You bet we need it! Our sensational passenger numbers in particular prove we do. We recorded the remarkable figure of 11,290,178 passengers at Tegel and Schoenefeld in the first six months of this year alone! That’s more than ever before. So obviously more and more people love Berlin and love flying to Berlin.

You don’t trust my statistics? Then take a look around, or even better, have a listen around. If you walk through the districts of Mitte, Prenzlauer Berg or Kreuzberg, you’ll hear a cornucopia of languages. And at the moment, shoppers and models are hurrying through the city and celebrating the latest fashions at the Bread & Butter trade show at Tempelhof Airport – where else!

The city is totally packed so it’s a good time to head off somewhere. I’m going to treat myself to a few days of holiday and have a look around Greece and really take it easy there. That’ll give me the chance to be a passenger from and to Berlin for once as well – one more passenger for BER. Take care everyone, I’m off!
