You know what, I’m going to emigrate. I’ve had enough. Just look at the date then look out the window and you’ll understand what I mean. Yes, I’m sick and tired of the weather. My anthill is already soaked through from this horrible, constant rain. I can’t get rid of my cold either. Antonia thinks I should stop whinging because it’s pointless and won’t make the slightest bit of difference. She’s right, but I’m still irritated.
I already know where I’d emigrate to: Bhubaneswar. Now you’re surely going to ask me where in the world is that. Well, Bhubaneswar is the capital of the East Indian state of Orissa. So far, so good. So why there of all places? For two good reasons actually. One, it is currently around 30 °C there now – as it should be in summer. Two, the city has an airport called Biju Patnaik Airport and – wait for it – with the IATA code BBI.
Yes, that’s right: BBI is already taken. The project name BBI is history, discarded and replaced by BER. BER will be the official IATA code for the new Berlin Brandenburg Airport. Every single suitcase that lands in Berlin as of 3 June 2012 will be tagged with these three letters.
But what would I do all day in Bhubaneswar? Antonia wouldn’t come with me in any case and I’d miss my malt beer, too. Nope, I’d rather stay here and look forward to some sun and BER.
