Re: Section III.2.2/1.3) We have a question regarding the following passage of your tender notification on "Energy supply contracting": "... unless required to do so by German law, comparable documents, i.e. data relating to the balance sheet total, turnover, annual net profit, shareholders' equity, short-term trade accounts payable and long-term liabilities (@ 1 year) must be published for the last three financial years ..." Question: What do you mean by (@ 1 year)?

This passage of the tender notification was expressed incorrectly in the Official Journal of the European Union. The correct formulation is: "... unless required to do so by German law, comparable documents, i.e. data relating to the balance sheet total, turnover, annual net profit, shareholders' equity, short-term trade accounts payable and long-term liabilities (>1 year) must be published for the last three financial years ..."

Further clarification by Berlin-Schoenefeld Airport:
Under Section VI.5) of the publication, the date given for posting the notification is 11/07/2007. The Berlin-Schoenefeld Airport would like to make it clear that the confirmation of receipt proves the notification was sent to the Official Journal of the European Union on 10/07/2007.

We would like to submit an application regarding the tender notification on "Energy supply contracting – Airport BBI". Quite often, the company posting tender notifications of this magnitude provide forms, whereby the information requested corresponds to the notification.

Are you intending to provide such forms and if so, where can we obtain them?

The awarding authority will not provide application forms.

The applicant is responsible for submitting a tender unaccompanied by any forms, taking into account the requirements outlined in the notification.

Are you able to comment on which fuel is currently used for the existing heating plants?

Answer Flughafen Berlin-Schoenefeld 2.2:

The main fuel used for the existing heating plants is natural gas.

Heating oil is used as an alternative if the gas supply fails.

Which fuel do you intend using for the new generating plants according to the draft design?

According to the draft design, we intend using natural gas as our main fuel.

1. Supplement to Section IV.3.4 Time limit for receipt of tenders to participate

The awarding authority is extending the time limit for receipt of tenders to participate in accordance with Section IV.3.4 of the notification to the:

05/09/2007 10 a.m.

The awarding authority requests that all those interested in participating make use of the extra time to compile all of the requested data and information and complete the formalities in accordance with Section III. of the notification, and to submit the required tender duly completed and signed within the aforementioned extended time limit.
