The owners of mobile devices such as mobile phones or PDAs which have Internet access can use a new service offered by the Berlin airports: the live flight schedule of the airports can be retrieved by logging onto http://airport-ber.mobi . In addition to the arrival and departure times, there is information about terminals, check-in counters or departure gates for every flight as well as contact information for the airlines and a quick-dial function for calling them.
Users simply enter http://airport-ber.mobi in the browser of their mobile device and immediately have access to the current arrivals and departures at the Berlin airports Schönefeld and Tegel.
The system automatically recognises the device being used to retrieve the pages and adapts their format to the display on the device.
The only costs users incur for the new service are the fees for the data transmission charged by the telephone providers. Rate schedules for the charges are available from every provider.
