Yes, hand on my heart, sometimes I do feel a little bit melancholy. But in a positive way, of course! You see, I’ve just been leafing through some of the older entries in my diary. I’ve been the spokesperson on our construction site for two years now and it’s amazing to see all that’s happened in that time. When I think back to how we built the underground station and opened the BBI Infotower, it warms the cockles of my heart. Boredom is definitely one thing I never experience in my job and now I have yet another milestone to report. We have just started developing the site for the BBI Business Park. During the first stage, we will be laying 20,000 square metres of roadway – that’s an awful lot of road.
Then we’ll be putting down another 10,000 square metres of walkways and cycle paths, planting 200 trees and laying kilometres of water, electricity and gas supply lines. And that is only the beginning. What we’re building here is the largest single business park in Berlin, after all – right next door to the BBI and with excellent transport connections. One thing is certain: I’m going to have lots more to report for some time to come.
