I always manage to surprise my friend Antonia. “What’s with the get-up?”, she asked me this morning, eying me with a skeptical look as I emerged from the bathroom. “Why?”, I replied, as innocently as possible, although I knew exactly what she was on about. I had splashed a dollop of hair gel into my feelers, popped a fountain pen into the bib pocket of my overalls and was wearing a pair of tortoiseshell glasses. “I’m going to university”, I said in a slightly pretentious tone of voice, intentionally emphasizing the last syllable of universiteeeee. Antonia just stood there, shaking her head.
But it’s true! The summer semester has started and the second round of the BBI Campus is about to kick off. Our series of lectures gives students the opportunity to take a look at some of the many different fascinating jobs at and around the airport. This semester, the BBI Campus will offer four lectures. The first takes place tomorrow, 28 April, and is a presentation about the economic impact and the chances the new BBI presents for the region. The next lectures take place on 26 May, 23 June and 7 July respectively.
