My head is buzzing: I’ve just spent three days at the commercial property trade show Expo Real in Munich. In the end, all this talk of top property, credit ratings, high-price segments on the upswing, yesterday’s declining prices was just too much to comprehend amid the hustle and bustle of property investors, project developers and bank managers. Oh boy! Such a babel of noise made me pine for my construction site even more.
Why was I there? It’s simple really: our new airport is offering investors not one, but two attractive investment opportunities in the form of the BBI Airport City and BBI Business Park Berlin, both of which we presented at our exhibition stand. I simply didn’t want to miss out on all the fun, especially as I like nothing more than to talk about my beloved BBI and the building progress being made there. And interest was great! There were many astonished looks and gaping mouths around me.
It’s not surprising really, as the BBI Airport City is situated right in front of the future terminal. You can’t possibly wish to be much closer to the airport than that. The first tender processes are already running. All those interested and able have the opportunity to work on building a conference and congress hotel, an office and service complex or a cargo centre. Not bad. Or in the words of Brandenburg’s Minister of Trade and Commerce Ulrich Junghanns: “BBI is the German capital region’s top investment project.“
