“What wonderful weather today”, I said to my girlfriend Antonia yesterday evening, after just getting home from work on the construction site. “And it’s supposed to stay fine over the next few days too”, I added, tickled pink. I was surprised at Antonia’s reaction, however, when she shot me an irritated look! But why? “You know”, she began, “that naturally wonderful feeling you get from wonderful weather would be even more wonderful if you would stop going on about how wonderful the weather is from morning till night.” Well, excuse me, Antonia!

But it is: now that the first signs of spring have finally arrived, a bit late mind, but still, it’s time for the annual miracle transformation from a normal person into a spring person.

And the good things in life are also good for the construction site, because for us it means the bad winter weather is over and we can finally knuckle down and get to work on the final metre leading up to the topping-out ceremony for the BBI Terminal, which will be held on 7 May. Incidentally, the long-term forecast looks promising for the opening … glorious weather!
