An urbane service complex is being built in front of the terminal of the new Berlin Brandenburg Airport: the Airport City. A coveted address, high quality facilities and ideal connections are the outstanding features of this development. The terminal and the underground station are only a few minutes’ walk away.

The appearance of the development is shaped by the attractive mix of high-quality architecture and appealing open spaces. At the heart of the complex lies the Willy- Brandt-Platz, an open plaza along which variable plots are situated, offering space for buildings with up to six storeys.

The first projects have already been completed

The development of the Airport City has made great progress. The first projects and the landscaped areas have already been completed. The office and service centre Berlin-Brandenburg Airport Center (²BAC), developed by the Frankfurt-based developer Fay Projects, has opened. The new complex has a total floor space of 18,770 m².

The property developer ECE and the Steigenberger Hotels Group are building a 4-star Superior Hotel with 322 bedrooms and a conference and congress centre. The hotel will open at the same time as the new airport.

Four multi-storey car parks and a car rental centre round off the portfolio. Around 10,000 parking spaces will be available for motorists by the time the airport opens. The Terminal Car Park south of the terminal gives VIP guests direct access to the gates.

Location for more investments

The next stages include the development of a second hotel in the 3-star category. The investor selection process has commenced.

Due to its close proximity to the terminal and direct access to the underground station, the Airport City offers unrivalled location advantages. The plots in the east of the development are within sight of the main airport access road to the terminal, making future developments here highly visible. This gives major companies the opportunity to occupy a prominent location.
