Berlin Brandenburg Airport welcomes new apprenticesBerlin, 01.08.2012
24 young men and women aged between 16 and 24 have started their training at Flughafen Berlin Brandenburg GmbH. They will be trained in commercial or technical occupations or complete a course of cooperative study. Before truly immersing themselves in the world of work, an interesting and varied two-week induction course awaits in a relaxed atmosphere, where they will gain an insight into the company and meet colleagues. On completing their training and passing their exams, the trainees will receive a Chamber of Industry and Commerce (IHK) vocational qualification; students will graduate with a Bachelor's degree.
While some apprentices are just starting their training, a total of 23 trainees will complete their training with the airport company in 2012. Sixteen graduates have already passed their exams. A collective wage agreement governs the rules for being taken on after successfully completing the training, so that graduates are given the opportunity of being kept on for a 12-month period depending on their marks in both the theoretical and practical parts of training.
Applications are now being accepted for the 2013 training year. Berlin Brandenburg Airport offers a variety of practical training opportunities in an exciting growth industry.
