First Aircraft Land at the ILABerlin, 07.09.2012
Slowly, but surely, things are beginning to happen. The Berlin Air Show will dedicate the new event area Berlin ExpoCenter Airport to the west of the future Berlin Brandenburg Airport from 11 to 16 September, when a record number of participants will appear. The exhibition grounds already look almost complete, even though plenty of hard work is still going on. Three temporary structures will be set up in addition to the three permanent buildings on the Berlin ExpoCenter Airport. More than 1,200 exhibitors, about half of them from outside the country, will present a broad range of high-tech products, systems and processes from the entire aerospace industry at the most important aerospace fair in Continental Europe this year. The ILA 2012 will be open daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. The first three days (11-13/9) of the exhibition are reserved for visitors from the industry. During the general public opening on the weekend (14-16/9), the top attraction will be a flying programme at the highest international level. Poland, which is the partner country this year, will be impressively represented in all areas of the exhibition and the flying programme.
The first aircraft have already landed on the South Runway of Berlin Brandenburg Airport — a special permit allows the South Runway to be used before the official operational start-up of the airport.
The airport company will have its own booth in Hall 3 offering the latest information about BER. Investors who would like to realise projects in the proximity of the airport will find information at the ZAB/Airport Region booth, also located in Hall 3. The Real Estate Management of the airport company will be presenting qualified commercial areas in the vicinity of the airport.
Anyone interested in learning more about the airport and ILA while at home will find the latest information and photos related to the ILA on the Facebook site of Berlin Brandenburg Airport:
