Aviation Day on 8 June 2013Berlin, 10.05.2013
Families and aviation enthusiasts are very welcome to come to Schönefeld Airport on 8 June 2013. On this day, Aviation Day will be celebrated all across Germany for the first time. The country’s airports will be opening their doors and letting visitors take a closer look at what goes on behind the scenes. The event takes place on Saturday, 8 June 2013, at Schönefeld Airport from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. directly in front of Terminal C. The airport fire brigade, customs, the federal police and GlobeGround Berlin will all be there. Children can romp on airberlin’s bouncy castle, try the bungee trampoline or giggle at the clown. There will be great bingo prizes, ranging from small treats to the main prizes: flight tickets for the airberlin European network. There will be delicious choice of food and drinks served by Marché. Don’t miss the opportunity to get a great view of the apron from the Schönefeld visitors’ terrace, which is open free of charge on Aviation Day.
On Aviation Day there will also be airport tours of Schönefeld and the future BER Airport available at special low prices. Take a look behind the scenes of an airport and explore the new BER. By the way: all attractions, except for food and drinks and the airport tours, are free of charge.
