The new Germanwings is taking off

Berlin, 01.07.2013
The ‘new Germanwings’
The biggest low-cost German airline is today starting a new chapter in German aviation history with its maiden flight from Berlin Tegel: Germanwings is now offering individualised offers in various price brackets for all customer groups with 'à la carte flying'.

For example, the BEST category is aimed at discerning passengers and includes not only added extras, but also plenty of legroom and access to the Lufthansa lounges. The new standard fare SMART includes a 23-kilogramme baggage allowance as well as non-alcoholic drinks. And the BASIC fare is the classic low-cost alternative for those on a budget.

Germanwings will offer a total of 204 flights per week to and from Berlin Tegel Airport in this summer's flight schedule. Following the complete transferral of all routes, the airline will serve 36 destinations from Berlin.
