Family festival at BERBerlin, 30.08.2013
Berlin Brandenburg Airport is inviting families to a festival at the airport on the weekend of 14 and 15 September 2013, offering them the opportunity to get to know the new airport first hand. The family festival at BER will span three levels and take place between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m., starting at Willy-Brandt-Platz in Airport City and going through Arrivals to Departures right outside the terminal.
A varied programme of events awaits, including music, entertainment and useful information on BER and aviation in general. A tour of the terminal, a guided tour of the train station beneath the terminal, tours of the airport grounds and a stage programme will provide a wealth of information on BER.
Numerous exhibitors will present the latest technologies, provide information on the travel industry and offer an insight into airport operations. The airport's fire and police service, plus GlobeGround, will be present with vehicles and helicopters. A child- and family-friendly festival in Airport City and outside the terminal, helicopter rides and other exciting aviation attractions complete the programme.
Visitors can travel to the festival directly by car. There are plenty of parking spaces available. Alternatively, shuttle buses are available from Schönefeld train station. Entrance and participation in all tours are free.
