How about some stunning airport perspectives from a height of 32 metres, and maybe a thick carpet of snow too? If you want to experience the BER during the festive season then the Infotower is the place to visit because, as an Advent Special, it can be visited free of charge in December 2013. This spectacular lookout point is open every day except for the public holidays (24-26 December/ 31 December – 1 January 2014). Up until February, the daily winter opening times for the Infotower are between 10 am and 4 pm. If you would like to enjoy a little of the experience right now, then you can already check out the view on the live webcam here on our website.
If you prefer to keep your feet on solid ground, then up until 23 December you can go on one of the airport tours around the BER site. In the following period from 24 December to 2 January no tours are being organized – with one exception: a special tour on 28 December 2013. During these guided bus tours, visitors can get to know the entire airport site. The route crosses the apron, passes by the terminal, the airport’s operational buildings, the new southern runway and continues on to the air traffic control tower of Deutsche Flugsicherung. The stops vary for each tour, but in December this includes an opportunity for participants to step outside the bus on the new BER southern runway. The tours can be booked by calling +49 30 6091-77770 or using the contact form at www.berlin-airport.de. The tour scheduled for 28 December 2013 can only be booked by phone.
