Germanwings is expanding its route network: as of today the German low-cost airline will be flying twice a week from Berlin to Klagenfurt. The flight departs from Tegel on Wednesdays at 11:50 and lands in Klagenfurt at 13:10; on Saturdays it leaves the German capital at 08:00 and touches down in Austria at 09:20. The return flight leaves Klagenfurt on Wednesdays at 09:45 and arrives at Tegel at 11:10, and on Saturdays it leaves at 10:00, landing in Berlin at 11:25. Travellers to the holiday region of Carinthia can look forward to white winter landscapes and the prospect of boundless skiing pleasure. Numerous winter sports regions are easily reached from Klagenfurt Airport. The world championship location Bad Kleinkirchheim/St. Oswald which is 60 kilometres distance, boasts more than 100 kilometres of attractive ski pistes for all tastes and proficiency levels. There are also 25 modern ski lifts and 23 ski lodges, making the region one of the largest ski areas in Carinthia. The excellent location and 800 snow machines guarantee snow until April.
