Qatar Airways has put a larger aircraft into daily service on the Berlin-Doha route as of 1 December 2013. Instead of an Airbus A320, a wide-body Airbus A330-200 now takes off from Qatar’s capital. There are now 248 instead of 132 seats available in Economy Class. The Business Class capacity has doubled from 12 to 24 seats. The airline is thus satisfying the increase in demand and is at the same time offering travellers improved service and considerably more comfort with a more generous seat pitch. On board, passengers in all classes have a personal screen at their disposal with on-demand access to an interactive entertainment system offering more than 900 different audio and video options. The connection to Berlin was introduced eight years ago. Qatar Airways has been flying the Berlin-Doha route on a daily basis since 2007.
To celebrate the introduction of the A330-200, Qatar Airways is offering members of the Privilege Club frequent flyer programme double miles on the outbound and return flight from Berlin. Passengers who are residents of Germany and who book by 31 December 2013 will receive double Qmiles on all flights from Berlin to Doha and back until 31 March 2014. To receive double miles, members simply need to register for the offer in their account at www.qmiles.com at least 24 hours before their flight departs. New members can register for the frequent flyer programme on this website too and then register for this offer in their account.
