New train service between Berlin-Hauptbahnhof and Schönefeld Airport11.12.2013
The new rail timetable coming into effect on 15 December 2013 offers a new additional connection to Schönefeld Airport, the RB19. It brings passengers from the city centre to Schönefeld Airport every 20 minutes. The RB19 Airport Express starts at Gesundbrunnen station and heads to the airport via Hauptbahnhof, Potsdamer Platz and Südkreuz stations. It takes just 30 minutes from Hauptbahnhof to Schönefeld station.
Together with the RE7 train service (Dessau to Wünsdorf-Waldstadt) and the RB14 (Nauen to Schönefeld) via the Berlin suburban railway (stopping at Hauptbahnhof, Ostbahnhof and other stations), this means there are now three train services connecting Berlin with the airport. In addition to this, the RB22 provides an hourly connection between Brandenburg’s state capital Potsdam and Schönefeld Airport.
