Germania begins flying to Macedonia19.12.2013
Long-standing Berlin airline Germania, in cooperation with tour operator Air Prishtina, is now flying twice a week non-stop from Berlin Schönefeld to Skopje. The Macedonian capital is being served by flight ST1992 on Mondays and Fridays. On Mondays the flight departs Berlin at 17:55 and arrives in Skopje at 20:15. In the opposite direction, the flight departs at 21:00 and arrives in Berlin at 23:25. On Fridays the plane takes off in Berlin already at 15:25 and lands in the Macedonian capital at 17:45. On the return journey, the Germania jet takes off at 18:30 and lands in Schönefeld at 20:55.
Skopje, situated in the heart of the Balkan Peninsular, has more than 530,000 inhabitants. It is the biggest city in Macedonia and is the country’s political, economic and cultural centre. The connection is particularly of interest to the many citizens of Berlin and Brandenburg with Macedonian roots. Right on time for the Orthodox Christmas festival, they will now be able to visit family and friends in their home country.
