Epiphany singers at Schönefeld Airport

Caroler at Schönefeld Airport
Eminent visitors caused quite a stir at Terminal A and on the visitors' terrace of Schönefeld Airport: our honorary pastors were out and about with seven Epiphany singers from St Dominicus, Berlin-Gropiusstadt, spreading word of the birth of the Lord, the Three Kings and best wishes for the future to travellers and local staff. Besides handing out sweets, the audience made small donations to refugee children in Malawi. The airport was rewarded for its endeavours with a round of applause. Epiphany singers are people who dress up as the Three Kings and collect money for charitable purposes during the Twelve Days of Christmas and sometimes beyond. Epiphany singing is a traditional Catholic custom.
