norwegian celebrates 10 years in Berlin01.04.2014
Two million passengers and nine routes: norwegian presents a good balance on its 10th anniversary in Berlin. In 2004, Norway’s national airline started flight operations at Berlin-Schönefeld with a connection to Oslo. Scandinavia’s second-largest airline meanwhile serves eight European destinations from Berlin. To coincide with its anniversary, the airline is expanding its route network from Berlin towards Spain.
In February, non-stop flights to Gran Canaria and Tenerife were added to the flight schedule. Starting on 2 April, norwegian will be offering a ninth destination to Barcelona. The Catalonian metropolis on the Mediterranean Sea will be served three times a week, every Monday, Wednesday and Friday, by a Boeing B737-800. Flights will depart from Schönefeld at 11.35 a.m. and reach their destination at 2.15 p.m. Return flights will depart at 8.15 a.m., arriving in the German capital at 11 a.m.
The airline offers passengers free Wi-Fi on board. Its vibrant city life and unique architecture make the Catalonian metropolis a popular destination for weekend breaks. Its location on the Mediterranean Sea also makes it the ideal destination for extended beach holidays.
