Experience a day at the airport04.06.2014
Summer, sun and holidays: in a few weeks’ time, not only do the long school holidays begin but also the main summer travel season. Planes will be departing for destinations throughout Europe and the rest of the world. So what could be more exciting for young and older children alike than having the opportunity to take a look behind the scenes. Children and their parents, grandparents, friends and visitors can experience a whole day at Berlin Schönefeld Airport and visit the Infotower. Holiday childcare organisations and individuals are also most welcome to come too.
The day at the airport begins in the morning at 9 a.m. in front of Terminal C of Berlin Schönefeld Airport. After having breakfast together in the staff canteen, we take the bus over the airport apron. The programme includes a visit to the Federal Police, customs and airport fire service. Furthermore, the children will visit the Lufthansa hangar, the Piper “Seneca” light aircraft and the 32-metre high Infotower. From here they have a good view of the terminal of the new Berlin Brandenburg Airport. This is also a good place from which to observe the airport operations of Schönefeld Airport. After eating lunch together in the staff canteen, we move on to the visitors’ terrace of Schönefeld Airport. The day at the airport ends at around 3 p.m.
Our summer holiday special “A Day at the Airport” will be taking place on weekdays from 11 July to 22 August 2014 and must be booked in advance. The price per person for the tour, breakfast and lunch is 20 euros including VAT.
