Vueling welcomes its
500 000th passenger in Berlin
Vueling passes the half-million benchmark: the Spanish airline Vueling has just welcomed its 500,000th passenger in Berlin. Vueling launched services from Berlin-Tegel to Barcelona and Bilbao in 2012, followed shortly after by services to Florence and Rome. The route expansion and the constantly rising passenger numbers have gone hand in hand, and the future looks equally promising. Flughafen Berlin Brandenburg GmbH is delighted that Vueling is committed to creating even more growth in the city by planning to introduce more direct services to and from Berlin, thus boosting Berlin’s attractiveness as an aviation hub for passengers heading down south.
With the start of the Summer Flight Schedule 2015, Vueling will be operating even more flights from Berlin. Starting on 28 June 2015, the airline will be offering a weekly flight on Sundays to the Galician city Santiago de Compostela. The frequency of the airline’s services to Barcelona and Rome will also be increased: there will be up to two flights per day from Berlin-Tegel to Barcelona, and the Berlin-Rome service will be operated once daily. Using Vueling’s hubs in Barcelona and Rome passengers can fly to further destinations in Southern Europe and Africa with only one stop and can book their baggage straight through to their
