New training year starts04.08.2015
3 August 2015 marked the beginning of training at Flughafen Berlin Brandenburg GmbH for 31 young men and women aged between 15 and 24. Around 800 applications were received for this training year. After making it past the selection process, 20 trainees are now starting a course of commercial or technical vocational training and eleven students a course of co-operative study at the airport company. There are currently 95 trainees and students taking part in the airport training scheme.
This year, 10 trainees are starting a course of commercial training to become an office management assistant or an air traffic management assistant. During the three-year training course, they will be placed in various fundamental and job-specific departments in order to gain an insight into modern airport management. Ten new recruits will also be trained in technical professions. During their three-and-a-half years of training, they will learn the basic skills necessary to work as an information and systems administrator, an electronics technician for industrial systems or mechatronics technician for utility vehicles, for example, in the various technical departments of the airport and in external companies. Applications for the 2016 training year
3 August 2015 is also the starting date for accepting applications for the 2016 training year. The airport company offers a variety of practical training opportunities in an exciting growth industry.
