The excitement of airports09.10.2015
The autumn school break is about to begin in Berlin and Brandenburg. Children of all ages who are spending the break at home can enjoy an exclusive peek behind the scenes at Schönefeld Airport and experience the airport atmosphere.
The day starts at 9 a.m. at Schönefeld Airport every weekday. The meeting place is Terminal D. To set us up for the day, we first all have breakfast together in the staff canteen. Afterwards a bus takes us over the airport apron, and we visit the Federal Police, customs, and airport fire brigade. Then, at the Lufthansa hangar, the children discover all sorts of interesting facts about aircraft and their technology. They even have the opportunity to sit in the cockpit of a Piper “Seneca”. Next, from the 32-metre high Infotower, the young explorers can enjoy a great view of the terminal of the new Berlin Brandenburg Airport. After eating lunch together, we round off the day by going to the visitors’ terrace of Schönefeld Airport to watch the bustling activity on the apron. The “Day at the Airport” ends at around 3 p.m.
Our autumn break special “A Day at the Airport” will be taking place every weekday from 19 to 30 October 2015 and needs to be booked in advance. Children interested in taking part can come along with their parents, grandparents, and friends – holiday childcare organisations are most welcome too.
The price per person for the tour, breakfast, and lunch is 20 euros including VAT. Bookings can be made on +49 30 6091-77770 or at firstname.lastname@example.org.
