A day at the airport20.06.2016
Flying is so cool. But how does my suitcase get to the plane? Why do I have to go through a security checkpoint? And what does the fire service do at the airport? The A Day at the Airport holiday programme gives kids the opportunity to take a look behind the scenes at Schönefeld Airport.
A Day at the Airport takes place during the summer holidays in the period from 25 July to 2 September 2016, on weekdays from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Children and their parents, grandparents, friends and visitors can experience a whole day at Berlin Schönefeld Airport. Holiday childcare organisations and individuals are also most welcome to come too.
The tour begins in the mornings at 8:30 on the airport company premises in the Dialog Forum building at Schönefeld Airport. After having breakfast together in the staff canteen, we take the bus over the airport apron. The programme includes a visit to the Federal Police and the airport fire brigade. Furthermore, the children will visit the Lufthansa hangar and the Piper “Seneca” light aircraft. After eating lunch together in the staff canteen, we move on to the observation deck of Schönefeld Airport. The tour must be booked in advance. The price per person for the tour, breakfast and lunch is 20 euros including VAT.
