The Royal Jordanian hub, Queen Alia International Airport in Amman, offers attractive connecting flights to many interesting destinations in the Middle East and Asia. Destinations such as Dubai, Bangkok, Guangzhou, Hong Kong, Jakarta and Kuala Lumpur can be easily reached via Amman. Royal Jordanian is renowned for its high-quality service.
Amman, the white city
Amman is situated in the north-west of Jordan and has a population of about four million. The Jordanian capital is one of the oldest cities in the world, but at the same time is also a very modern metropolis with distinctive Oriental charm. Its numerous white sandstone buildings have earned it the byname of the White City. For tourists, Amman is an excellent starting point for a tour of Jordan. The country’s highlights include the stone-carved city of Petra, the Wadi Rum desert and the Dead Sea.
