New airline in Berlin

Air One connects Berlin and Milan Linate/Daily flight from Tegel
Since 29 October 2006, Air One has been operating a daily flight from Berlin Tegel to Milan Linate. The flight takes approximately 1.5 hours, departing from Tegel at 3.30 p.m. and landing in Milan Linate at 5.05 p.m. The flight from Milan departs at 1 p.m., arriving at Tegel at 2.35 p.m. A brand-new A320 in a two-class layout is operated on this route.

Dr Rainer Schwarz, CEO of Berlin Airports, is delighted about the new airline in Berlin: "Short city breaks are very popular at the moment. We are particularly delighted that this new Air One flight will enable us to expand our attractive offer of city connections in Europe."

Linate Airport is close to Milan city centre, which is very popular with business travellers and tourists alike. So far, flights have been operating from Berlin to the Milan airports Malpensa in the north and Milan Bergamo.

Air One flies to 23 Italian and 6 international destinations. Its fleet comprises 37 Boeing 737, Airbus 320 and Canadair CRJ900 aircraft. Air One is a partner of Lufthansa and the Miles & More programme. The Italian private airline is based in Rome and employs more than 1,900 members of staff. In 2006, Air One carried a total of approximately 6 million passengers.
