Ronald Hampe from Neuruppin wins the "2nd AirportRun"30.06.2007
The runners couldn't have wished for anything more either. Winner of the women's race was Beate Krecklow from Rostock with a time of 1:26:02 h. Ronald Hampe from Neuruppin won the men's race with a time of 1:15:12 h.
Karsta Parsiegla from Teltow and Antje Hehn from Berlin came in 2nd and 3rd place in the women's race and Hans-Peter Wollny and Mathias Geiseler, both from Berlin, won silver and bronze in the men's race. Berlin Airports' fastest employees were Anna Wollf with a time of 1:59:19 h and Stephan Wollschläger with a time of 1:34:48 h.
The AirportRun attracted a total of 4,000 runners and visitors. In the event grounds, spectators heard live broadcasts en route and various interviews with partners and organisers of the event and watched a variety of stage show performances with live music from the Roccopyrats in the evening. A bouncy castle, BungeeRun and fire engines entertained our little guests.
Besides the award ceremony, the large tombola also turned out to be one of the highlights of the evening, with winners taking home plane tickets and shopping vouchers.
The 21,0975 km (13.1 mile) half-marathon was organised by Berlin Airports and the real,- BERLIN MARATHON organiser SCC RUNNING.
