New! From Berlin to Rome with Air One01.10.2007
"We are delighted that this new Air One flight to Rome will enable us to further expand our attractive offer of city connections in Europe. Travelling to one of the most popular European destinations is now much easier", says Dr. Rainer Schwarz, CEO of Berlin Airports.
Giorgio De Roni, head of network and marketing at Air One, on the new connection between Rome Fiumicino and Berlin Tegel: “In the frame of the strategies for the growth of Air One at international level, and after the excellent results obtained from the flight between Milan Linate and Berlin Tegel, Air One increases its presence in the German capital thanks to its service to and from Rome Fiumicino. The schedule of the new flight from Berlin was defined as necessary to ensure ideal connections to several destinations of Air One’s southern Italian network, and in particular Sicily, Apulia, Calabria and Sardinia”
Air One started offering a daily connection between Berlin Tegel and Milan Linate in its 2006 winter flight schedule. Milan is the airline's key airport, as well as Rome.
Air One is a full-service carrier: coffee, tea, soft drinks and sandwiches are also available free of charge in Economy Class. The airline intends to expand its fleet by the end of the year to 56 aircraft, comprising Boeing 737s, CRJ900s, Airbus A320s, ARJ70s and ATR42s. By 2012, the fleet will be extended to include 90 A320s. Air One is a partner of Lufthansa and the Miles & More Programme. In 2006, Air One transported a total of 6.4 million passengers.
