Managing Director BBI/Technical Services to leave the company at the end of the year

20.03.2008
Berlin Airports announced today that the present board member in charge of BBI and Technical Services, Thomas Weyer, has chosen not to extend his contract with the company.
Thomas Weyer will be leaving Berlin Airports by the end of the year. The supervisory board of Munich Airport today announced that Thomas Weyer has been appointed as their new managing director of Aviation and Technical Services.

Commenting on the announcement, Thomas Weyer, Managing Director BBI and Technical Services, stated: “This was not an easy decision to make. On the other hand, I know that the construction work on the new BBI is running to plan and that we have an excellent team handling this important project. These two factors persuaded me to accept this appealing and very interesting new professional challenge.”

Thomas Weyer was appointed to Berlin Airports’ Board of Management in January 2004. His responsibilities include planning, financing and construction of the new capital airport BBI and he is in charge of technical services for all three airports in Berlin.
