From 2011, E.ON edis will be supplying energy to BBI / Resource-saving and environmentally friendly energy supply concept ensures high energy efficiency with low CO2 emissions
Berlin Airports has awarded another million-euro contract for the Capital Airport BBI. After a Europe-wide invitation for bids, E.ON edis AG was awarded the contract to supply energy over a period of 15 years from the commissioning of the BBI in 2011.

The scope of service includes the supply of energy such as heat, cooling, engine-based cogenerator electricity, as well as emergency power as part of an energy supply contract. For this purpose, energy generation systems and the associated buildings must be newly erected and put into operation at the BBI airport location.

As part of the contract, a resource-saving and environmentally friendly energy supply concept will be realised on the basis of a combined heating/cooling and power plant. This will ensure very high energy efficiency with low CO2 emissions.
