The supervisory board of Berlin Airports today announced the appointment of Manfred Körtgen as the new managing director of Technical Services/BBI for Berlin Airports. He succeeds Thomas Weyer, who is leaving Berlin Airports for Munich Airport.
The 55-year-old architect Manfred Körtgen starts in his new position on 1 September 2008. He brings to the position many years of expertise gained in international construction projects and airport extension projects. Since 2004, he has been responsible for planning and construction for the new BBI. Prior to this he was project leader at Düsseldorf Airport where he was responsible for overseeing and implementing the new extension and upgrade project.
