“Raisin Bomber” makes an emergency landing

The DC3 operated by Air Service Berlin – affectionately known as the “Raisin Bomber“ – was forced on Saturday afternoon to make an emergency landing close to Schoenefeld Airport immediately after take-off. The cause of the incident has not yet been determined.
There were 25 passengers and three crew on board at the time. Seven people suffered minor injuries during the emergency landing. All the plane’s occupants were able to walk off the aircraft unassisted. Passengers and their relatives were being looked after at Schoenefeld Airport.

Schoenefeld Airport was closed for 15 minutes. The German Federal Bureau of Aircraft Accident Investigation is investigating the incident.
