Personnel news: Prof. Dr. Rainer Schwarz remains CEO of Berlin Airports for another five years

In a meeting held yesterday by the Supervisory Board of Berlin Airports, it was decided that Prof. Dr. Rainer Schwarz (53) would remain CEO of Berlin Airports for another five years.
Klaus Wowereit, Governing Mayor of Berlin and Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Berlin Airports said: “We are delighted to have reached a long-term agreement with Mr. Schwarz and thus secured the targeted development of the air traffic location Berlin-Brandenburg, even after Willy Brandt Airport opens in June 2012.” A graduate in business management and an aviation expert, Schwarz has been CEO of Berlin Airports since 2006. Prior to this, he held positions at Munich, Nuremberg and Düsseldorf Airport.
