Limited cancellations and delays in Berlin

Airspace closed for three hours due to Icelandic ash cloud
The airspace over Berlin rapidly returned to normal this afternoon after closing between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. as reported due to the Icelandic ash cloud. No take-offs or landings were possible at the Berlin airports Schoenefeld and Tegel during this time.

According to the latest information, 185 of approx. 700 flights were cancelled today, around 25 in Schoenefeld and around 160 in Tegel, and numerous flights were delayed at both airports.
