As of 3 June, there have been up to 20 additional take-offs and landings per day at Tegel Airport. An additional 30,000 passengers expected

New flight destinations

With 170 flight destinations in 50 countries, the summer flight schedule offers a wide range of connections. A total of 17 new connections have been added – to Trondheim and Torp as of March, to Toulouse and Eindhoven as of April and to Los Angeles, Windhoek, Aalborg and Gdańsk as of May. In June, the airlines launched nine new destinations: Bilbao, Birmingham, Bologna, Kaliningrad, Leeds, Marseille, Memmingen, Rijeka and Valencia.

Service information for passengers

The airport company apologises for any inconvenience caused to passengers as a result of the current situation at Schönefeld and Tegel Airport: please allow extra time – especially in Tegel – to get to and through the airport. Note: as only a limited number of parking spaces are available, please use public transport.

All restaurants, shops and services such as car rental and Lost & Found will continue to be available at the existing airports until the new airport opens. Both locations will thus continue to cater to all the daily travel needs of passengers.

Children will also be taken on a bus tour of Schönefeld Airport, visit the airport terminal and go on the visitors' terrace – where they will have a bird's-eye view of the aircraft. The day at the airport ends at around 3 p.m. The summer holiday promotion is held weekdays from 22 June until 3 August 2012 and costs €19 per person – including breakfast and lunch.
