At a press conference held in Beijing on 22 April and entitled “Brilliant 20 Years, Shining Five Stars”, the Chinese airline Hainan Airlines was honoured for the third time in succession as a SKYTRAX Five-Star Airline.

At the event Chen Ming, Hainan Airline’s President, also presented the airline’s new brand slogan: “Cherished Experience”.

Mr Zhiwei Shi, General Manager Hainan Airlines Berlin, stated: “From the very beginning, Hainan Airlines’ service philosophy has always focussed on the passenger. It is our aim to make Hainan Airlines a strong, internationally recognised brand, and so we are particularly pleased that the renowned corporate consultancy SKYTRAX has for the third consecutive time recognised our efforts with the highest possible rating of five stars.”

Hartmut Mehdorn, Chief Executive Officer of Flughafen Berlin Brandenburg GmbH: “20 years of Hainan Airlines and nearly five years of Berlin-Beijing. I warmly congratulate Hainan Airlines on the occasion of this anniversary. The connection between the Chinese and the German capital cities is of enormous importance for us.
