Summer Holiday Programme: A Day at the Airport

16.05.2013

This year, the airport operating company will again be organising a summer holiday programme for children. Together with their parents, grandparents or friends, kids are invited to spend a day at Schönefeld Airport and see what goes on behind the scenes. Daycare providers during the school holidays and other adults are also very welcome to attend.

The Day at the Airport begins at 9.30am in Terminal C at Schönefeld Airport. From there the group will be setting off to explore the airport, taking in the Lufthansa maintenance hangar, visiting a small Piper Seneca aircraft, the airport fire brigade and the Federal police. The children will also be taking a bus tour around Schönefeld Airport, visiting the airport terminal and admiring the view across the apron from the visitors’ terrace where they can watch aircraft land and take off. A trip to the BER Infotower is also included. The Day at the Airport ends at around 3pm.

The summer holiday event takes place every weekday from 21 June until 2 August 2013 and costs €19 per person, including a snack and lunch. Advance booking is required and reservations can be made from Monday to Friday between 10am and 3pm by calling +49 30 6091-77770.
