Advent at the Infotower - Free admission during Dezember03.12.2013
New opening times
If you want to experience the BER during the festive season and perhaps even in the snow, then the Infotower is the place to visit – what is more, admission is free of charge in December 2013. The Infotower will be open to all visitors from 1 December 2013 to 28 February 2014 (except on public holidays) daily between 10 am and 4 pm. The Infotower will be closed from 24 to 26 December 2013 as well as on 31 December 2013 and on 1 January 2014.
The Infotower is situated in the immediate vicinity of the terminal. The observation tower provides a fantastic view over the BER site, which covers about the same area as 2,000 soccer pitches. During good weather, you can see as far as Berlin, and you can even clearly make out the television tower on Alexanderplatz. The visitor pavilion directly next to the Infotower provides information about Berlin Brandenburg Airport.
Airport tours with varying stops
The airport tours will be offered as usual up to and including 23 December 2013 and again as scheduled from 2 January 2014. You can also visit the BER between the public holidays on 28 December 2013. During the guided bus tours, visitors get a good overall view of the entire airport premises. The airport tours take you across the apron and past the terminal, the airport’s operational buildings, the new southern runway and the air traffic control tower of Deutsche Flugsicherung. The stops vary for each tour. All booked tours taking place in December will offer participants the opportunity to alight on the new southern runway at the BER.
The tours can be booked by phoning +49 30 6091-77770 or using the contact form at www.berlin-airport.de. The tour taking place on 28 December 2013 can only be booked by phone.
