Airline launches new with three services from Berlin
Take off for the sun with AirOne: today the Italian carrier launched a twice-weekly nonstop service from Berlin-Tegel to Palermo. AirOne has also launched two more services to Italy in the past few days. On 30 March, the airline started operating flights from Berlin to Catania, Sicily. The airline has also launched a new service to Pisa in Tuscany, which started on 1 April. The services are operated with Airbus A320 aircraft with 180 seats.
“To add Berlin as a new destination is our route network is an attractive benefit for our German passengers”, says Laura Cavatorta, Managing Director of the Italian airline. “Berlin-Tegel is the only airport in Germany that offers AirOne flights to Palermo and Pisa.”
“We are delighted that we have succeeded in bringing AirOne to Berlin with three new services“, says Hartmut Mehdorn, Chief Executive Officer of Flughafen Berlin Brandenburg GmbH. “We wish AirOne much success and great load factors at all times.“
Palermo – Sicilian variety
Tourists visiting Palermo are always astonished at the city’s incredibly rich history, culture, tradition and the many sights there are to see. Palermo’s traditional side can be explored in a walk around the historical city centre to the beautiful baroque square Quattro Canti, where attractions include the Pretoria Palace with its eponymous fountain, several Norman churches and the medieval La Martorana.
Catania – the capital of Sicilian baroque
Three times a week – on Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays – AirOne flights depart for Sicily’s second-largest city. Catania is one of the main centres of Sicilian baroque and the city has many cathedrals, churches and palaces that are UNESCO World Heritage sites.
The Leaning Tower of Pisa
Every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, the airline’s services depart for the famous city in Tuscany. With the world-famous Leaning Tower and the world’s oldest botanical garden, Pisa attracts many hundreds of thousand tourists every year.
