End of emergency response in SXF: Onward flight with replacement aircraft

The emergency response at Berlin Schönefeld Airport has been over since 22:57. A total of 100 personnel were deployed on site on Thursday evening. The unscheduled landing of an easyJet Airbus A320 at 16:45 is currently being assessed by the Federal Flight Accident Investigation Authority (BFU). Shortly after the aircraft landed with 175 passengers and six crew members on board, the Airport Fire Brigade was unable to detect any raised carbon monoxide levels. All passengers at Schönefeld Airport have been examined by medical personnel. The suspicion of carbon monoxide poisoning could not be confirmed here either. The reason for passengers feeling ill on the flight from Manchester to Tel Aviv remains unclear. The airline has organised a replacement aircraft to enable its passengers to resume their flight to Tel Aviv this evening.
