Realignment of Corporate Communication02.10.2015
Flughafen Berlin Brandenburg GmbH is pooling its communication disci-plines under a single roof. The newly-established Corporate Communication Department will merge the Press Office, PR and Regional Relations, and CD/CI which have been managed as separate units to date. Corporate Communication will be headed by Ralf Kunkel (47) who has managed the Press Office since 2006 and has also been the spokesman for the company, the airports at Schönefeld and Tegel as well as the BER construction site. Airport CEO Karsten Mühlenfeld: “We are currently streamlining our organisational structure. We are pooling our communication activities in order to manage dialogue with our target groups in an even clearer and more uniform manner and from a single source. Along with his team, Ralf Kunkel will focus on pushing digitalisation of communication as well as developing the area of Public Affairs.”
This new organisation of communication does not necessitate any changes for representatives of the press: the Press Office will remain available for journalists via the existing channels.
