Personnel Change within the Supervisory Board and Executive:
Engelbert Lütke Daldrup appointed CEO of the airport company

In today’s meeting, the Supervisory Board voted unanimously for a comprehensive change in personnel at Flughafen Berlin Brandenburg GmbH.

The new CEO will be Prof. Dr.-Ing. Engelbert Lütke Daldrup, currently State Secretary in the Berlin Senate. Lütke Daldrup will begin his duties tomorrow. Effective today, Dr. Karsten Mühlenfeld is no longer the acting CEO of Flughafen Berlin Brandenburg GmbH. The Supervisory Board and Dr. Mühlenfeld have agreed amicably to nullify his contract.

Chief Finance Officer Heike Fölster will continue on as a member of the Executive, which will be supplemented by a new Workers Director, yet to be elected upon recommendation by the employees at the scheduled meeting of the Supervisory Board on 17 March.

Effective tomorrow, former Senior Project Manager BER Jörg Marks will take up his duties once more in his former position.

Acting Mayor Michael Müller and Chairman of the Supervisory Board is leaving the committee for reasons of compliance. Vice-Chairman Rainer Bretschneider, State Secretary for Airport Coordination in the Brandenburg State Chancellery, and Holger Rößler, Trade Union Secretary of ver.di – Vereinte Dienstleistungsgewerkschaft Berlin Area, will take over the running of the Supervisory Board. The Supervisory Board will convene in its next scheduled appointment on 17 March 2017 and appoint new members.
