Pursuant to the Washington Protection of Endangered Species Agreement, endangered animal and plant species which are protected may not be transported. Trade with endangered animal and plant species is either absolutely prohibited or is permitted solely under specific circumstances. Violations are rigorously prosecuted, and anyone involved in these activities must be aware that they are punishable by high fines or even imprisonment, and the animals or plants will be confiscated. As a general principle and as a means of protecting the endangered flora and fauna, we ask that you not purchase live holiday souvenirs, animals and plants or the shells of giant clams and pieces of coral.
